Other Etiquette

The Etiquette School of Birmingham can provide instruction on most types of etiquette skills. Among these are those profiled below.
Children’s EtiquetteLearning basic manners from an early age helps a child handle social situations. While academics and sports are essential for personal growth, it’s important not to miss the everyday social and behavioral skills that are often overlooked. We are delighted to offer instruction to children in second grade through high school to learn the basics of etiquette at the most important time of their lives. Our curriculum includes conversation skills; appropriate social etiquette including party, dating, school, and church situations; thank you note and telephone etiquette as well as the all-important dining etiquette.
Contact us today to learn more about our instructions. We require a group of at least six students and limit group size (based on age) to ensure individual attention. One-on-one instruction or sessions with a parent or grandparent are also available.
Dining EtiquetteIt’s amazing how many of our clients have said, “My mother taught me that,” when we talk about dining etiquette. Many of us were taught…and forgot all about what we learned. It’s actually fun to learn it all again along with a few things we didn’t know! From the difference between American and Continental Dining to the proper way to eat bread and whether you should sniff the wine cork or feel it, you’ll come away with new skills. Contact us for a dining etiquette session over a meal for your family, church group, or dinner club.
Afternoon TeaAfternoon in the British tradition is a special event no matter where you live. We would be delighted to join your event to provide background on the tradition and additional information concerning the taking of tea.
Restaurant Server TrainingAs American dining has become more and more relaxed, only a few fine restaurants train their serving staff on the proper way to serve patrons. We enjoy meeting with servers and sharing with them how they can provide their customers with a first-class dining experience, whether they are serving hamburgers or a six-course meal.
Interview Etiquette Many students work part-time to fund college expenses and help out at home. However, job interviews can be challenging when you haven’t done them before. We’re here to help. Join us for a 60-minute seminar that will help you put your best foot forward in an interview.
